I'm in the process of installing the cylinder heads and they appear identical, except part numbers. One is stamped HRC 2479 22 and the other is HRC 2479 21. I can't for the life of me figure out which one belongs to which bank. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks. I've been scouring the internet and haven't found any answers. It is strange that they are numbered differently, but whatever, it's time to put this thing back together.

 

For the record, I was finally able to figure that HRC 2479 21 originally came on the left side (bank 1) and HRC 2479 22 originally came on the right side (bank 2). I finally located a wiring harness clip on the harness, near the firewall, that plugged into a metal piece that I left bolted onto the back of head HRC 2479 21.

 

Same part number for both heads, fyi. Just happens you've got two different castings.

 

symmetrical. I mix and match between 3 sets of heads. don't even know which ones are originally paired.
