Default Cylinders Heads Removed, How to Move Pistons

how do i move the piston down now that i have the cylinder heads off?

i want to check the sleeve and see if there is any damage down in the block...

piston 3 is the cylinder i am trying to investigate.

Update:

Piston position before...

Crank Pulley:
This is what you will be rotating to raise/lower the pistons.

Location in Engine Bay:

Bolt Size = 24 mm

Position of Pistons after Rotating:

That is how you can rotate the pistons with the engine disassembled.

I'll save you a bit of trouble here.

Is that the only steam cleaned piston? If it is, then the block is likely cracked behind that sleeve.

Could very well be a head gasket leak and not a cracked block/sleeve issue. What's the head gasket look like around that cylinder. Also, get the head checked for flatness.

there is no water passage from the block to the center of the head only on the ends 1,8,2&7 "i" believe.
so if you have steam cleaned piston in the center of the head the coolant probably did not come from 1,2,7 or 8.

You are in trouble. My tip for you is to put everything back together with some new head gaskets, do the inline thermo mod, drop 2 bottles of blue devil pour n go, 2 qts of coolant and the rest water. May god have mercy on your soul.
