Default D1 roof rack on d2?

There is a junked d1 a few miles from our house with a roof rack. It's been sitting for years and I thought about seeing if they would sell the rack. Would it fit my '03? I can cut and weld if it needs tweaking. What about the cdl is it compatable? Also, while I have a post going, my wife didnt tighten down the gas cap all the way which I found out when service engine light came on. It took about 3 turns to tighten, how long befor the light goes out assuming it's what triggered light?

You do not have to retrofit the rack, it will fit but will be slightly shorter than if it was for a D2. As for the service engine light I think it has to do with miles traveled and not on and off cycles but I am not sure.

I don't think it's compatible.
