Default D2 2003 Air Intake Cover

Hey Folks ,

Am new to the Forum & was wondering if there was ever a cover for the air intake that’s sits under the scuttle panel ? See image below

Reason I’m asking is that after having the windscreen replaced I was getting water dripping

This is what I found water was running straight into the Air intake and behind the glove box.
in from the passenger side under the glove box.

After trying all sorts I worked out that when the water was running down the windscreen it was running behind the scuttle panel and straight into the air intake causing water to drip on passenger footwell as the opening to the air intake is pretty much flush with a slight lip.

I have managed to silicon a bit of Perspex slightly wider than the air intake opening & so far no water has entered the cabin so 🤞 it’s fixed.

Would be nice to know if it did have a cover or even a part number

Cheers

Wish they had a grate over it, to keep debris out...like say...leaves.
