D2 ABS still working
I assume you're talking about the fairly quiet chirping that the ABS modulator emits? With mine, it doesn't seem to draw much power. I could leave my D2 alone for three weeks and the battery will start the engine up without issue.
It can be an issue on some trucks, not sure why LR designed it that way. Not sure if it is an ECU issue or a module issue but either way it is a problem. Depending on the draw you can either rewire with another relay in series or if the draw is low enough a battery maintainer might counteract it.
This is the abs pump relay working. But I think it's a waste of time and work. The easiest way is to disconnect the battery when parked for a long time.My battery dies after two weeks. On the other hand, I wonder if this is not harmful to the pump, which receives a signal every second 24 hours a day.
Did the battery disconnect thing for a while, then I changed to this: https://extinctmotorsports.com/solar...aintainer-kit/
The truck can still be moving after a collision, incident, or other fault and it was deemed appropriate to make the ABS still available to the driver???? Other than that, I'm with you.
