Default D2 alarm system

Looking at buying the d2 ultrasonic interior sensor and the horn siren. Trying to find out what connector I need to look for under the hood and is there and other pieces I need to make it perfect? I will be programming the bcu via the new Hawkeye total

You want to identify components/locations using the Electrical Library and Diagrams.

It's already wired for it and cheaper than putting in an aftermarket one

I use the "Big Cat" alarm/deterrent system. It does not require any wiring, it was developed for the D110 and 9 out of 10 Zulu's agree, no one is going to mess with your truck.

Yes I have a 99 with that alarm sensor and it works perfectly. I've never touched it so I've got no clue on wire colors.

I'm figuring since it's wired up on the interior it will be wired under the hood also

I think the only thing you should need to buy are the interior sensors from a salvage truck.

Your truck probably has a blanking plate at the locations where the sensors are mounted in my truck (at the top of the LH A-pillar behind and above the drivers head and on the opposite side just to the rear of the C-pillar). Just pop out the blanking plates and look for the connectors. If you have the RAVE Electrical Library they are C0358 (front) and C0719 (rear). According to the RAVE Electrical Circuits they are wired in series and run to the BCU. They get power from the BCU and send a signal when triggered. When the sensors are triggered the BCU sounds the horn and flashes the lights. Should be plug-and-play. You shouldn't need to do anything under the hood. Does that address your question?

The interior sensors caused nothing but problems for me. If you leave a sunroof or a window cracked and lock the truck with the remote handset a gust of wind can set off the alarm.

If you don't have the RAVE Electrical Library and the RAVE Electrical Circuits PDFs I recommend you download them.
