D2 No Start

D2 No Start
So my dad is visiting in town and I let him drive my D2. He drove it this morning to visit a friend, parked in his drive way and when he went to move the truck again it would not start. It is not clicking or attempting to turn over. I had him verify he could shift through all the gears and the dash and console indicators are changing correctly. I'm thinking its either the CkPS, but it isn't trying to start again at all. Or possibly the starter. I'm not really sure the best way the test the starter/solenoid.
Anything else it could be?

No click means the solenoid is not kicking in. You can jumper the starter relay in the fusebox to determine if the problem is the solenoid or upstream of the solenoid. If it clicks but does not turn over then probably worn brushes in the starter, or maybe a worn solenoid contactor. I have had two starters wear out at around 180k.

Well a replacement starter arrived today. I was watching some videos on replacement when I came across a diagnosing video. To me it sounds like my click isn’t as mechanical or loud as a solenoid click.
To me it sounds more like the relay clicking than the actual solenoid. It just seems strange to me the starter would go from perfectly fine to completely broken in one drive.
What does anyone else think? Proceed with the starter replacement or check something else?
I recorded a video the click actually sounds louder in the video. In real life it is much more fainter and sounds like it’s coming from the fuse box.
