This is the Hyundia purge valve that fits the D2. Just behind the throttle body on the right side on top of the engine just in front of the firewall is the location. LR part includes all the hoses, just remove claims and replace the purge valve itself with this unit.

 

Works on the D1, too.

 

I know that's just a simple solenoid, but Dorman is often really awful stuff. We just had a Buick come in the other day with a dead fuel gauge and codes for just about every single sensor on the car. I took the plastic cover off the top of the engine and noticed that someone had replaced the SAI valve with a Dorman replacement. What it was doing was pulling down the 5v reference to 2.2v so none of the engine controls were working correctly. When I unplugged it, the 5v ref. came back up and the fuel gauge went back to normal.
I know the 5v reference isn't connected to the solenoid, but I have had other problems with many of their parts.
Just a thought.

I had a Dorman purge valve, it lasted six months. Luckily I had an extra genuine off my parts truck when it went out.

 

$30 is cheap and it's probably a much better part than the Dorman one. Dorman stuff, like the "HELP" products can certainly help you out in a pinch, but most of their stuff is not made for longevity. LOL!

Do NOT buy a Dorman brand purge valve! I repeat do NOT buy Dorman. That thing is junk. I bought one at Oreillys and returned it 3 times before I upgraded to a better brand that they had in stock.... Nobody ever informed me that there was another kind available. This last one was a few dollars more and has not failed me. What's funny is that they have the exact same casing but is made with better internal components, as I was told
