Default D2 sliders on a D1?

Disco Mike was kind enough to point out a set of D2 sliders for sale here locally for $275. I offered the guy $200 but doubt he'll take it so I wanted to know if D2 sliders will fit on my D1 before I go and raise my offer. Wheelbase on both is the same so in my mind they should fit but Mike wasn't sure either.

I would have the same logic, but looking at some sites (roversnorth for example) you find 2 different item codes for the DI and DII. Maybe the point at which they are attached are positioned differently?

I think if I can work it out I am going to buy them and see what need to be done to mount them. I really don't think I will have to do anything but drill the hole that I've have to drill even with sliders specifically for a D1

I believe the main difference is the length, which would be easy to correct.
