Those of you that drive the disco daily do you keep your mud tires on while daily or do you have a set for daily and set for off-roading ?

I daily my white one with General Grabber X3s. They are wearing pretty nicely and aren't too terribly noisy. No worse than the roof rack at least. Swapping out tires just isn't worth my time, maybe if I had a lift at my daily disposal but in no way is the time to jack up each corner worth it to me to be swapping almost every weekend.

Im about to start driving mine daily. My son just gave me a brand new set of TF steel wheels with some Toyo Open Country MT's. I saw a video of a guy running BFG MT's on a FJ80. After 45K of street and off road use they looked pretty darn good. I was running Good Year Dura Tracs but just switched over to MT's.I'm on 33's with a 4in lift from RTE

Drive my 2001 with MTs on road all the time..not too bad....they are pretty wide, and the wear has been even all around....

I drive 3 LR's with M/T's on em all the time. Zero issues, and tire wear has been even on them.

I've had them on for 2 years and they are bit noisy but after a few weeks you just get used to it. In my opinion its worth it as you can go almost anywhere!

Have you considered a hybrid tire? It’s a compromise between an AT and MT. Toyo AT3 or similar.

Daily drove on M/T tires for about 45K, between having them on the 01 and 03. Wasn't bad, especially on the 03...since it was an SE and had better sound deadening in the doors. Put them on my defender for about 5K...and they drove me nuts. They were just a little over half wornout when l sold them. Federal Couragia's 265/75.

l do have access to a lift, and other sets of tires, and still never found the energy to swap them around...lol. But, truth be told...it kind of limits your spontaneous trips...who wants to come home from work Friday, decide..."hey, l should go wheeling up north"...and then have to stare at changing four tires before you leave.

Same here with the general grabber X3. I don’t have many miles on them but much quieter than the duratrac tires I had previously
