Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had some input as to the whereabouts of a good independent LR shop in the Dallas area? I went to North Texas Rover just to say "whats up" and ask some questions about lifting, the three amigos, club info and such but I did not know if anyone on the forum has experience with these guys or if anyone knew another place to check out. Thanks!

Hey, I'm in DFW area too. I've never been to North TX rover yet. I've stopped by www.motorcarsltd.com and chatted with them and bought a few parts, they seem like decent people. I hear the owner is meticulous about doing things right. I did meet a guy with a Disco locally and he said they treated him right. They have a shop in Carrollton, but they're main place is in Houston. So far I've done all my own work so I can't vouch for their workmanship personally.

 

Cowtown Rover in Fort Worth is an independent Land Rover/BMW repair shop. I've been happy with them - good people!

Do they sell parts Luv2disco? Used or new parts. I'm looking for a place that parts out LR's around DFW area.

done there and they did a good job.
They also support the Rover Club.

I have also been by to talk to Mike Ortiz at Motor Cars LTD
972-419-8999 he did know what he was talking about and got to look at a setof rebuilt heads they had been redone by someone that did good work so they have a good machine shop.

What I like about North Texas Rovers is its Land Rovers
only the last time I was there theyhad a 101 more Series
that I could look at and RR's and Disco's all over the place.
So it could taketime to get some things done.

 

Cool info on Nth TX rovers Landzu. I'll have to go check it out some time. I guess that's why they don't update their webpage very much as they're too busy LOL.

They are a repair shop not a parts store. They will get whatever part necessary for the job. Call Sam and he would tell you your options or point you in the right direction depending on your needs.Cowtown Rovers is a smaller shop but there are always several rovers (all types) there. they keep pretty busy.
