has anyone heard of any kind of dash kit that would allow me to install a double din head unit in my 00 discovery. l

 

not a chance of that fitting... you're looking at a flip-out of you want a screen there. I have an AVIC-N3 there, and it fits nicely...

 

yeah i just dont like the whole honda civic style flip out deal. a double din is just cleaner. right now i have a jvc kd-avx2 installed its a single din with a dvd player and built in monitor but it just doesnt look right in the din and a half hole. is there anyway you can send me a picture of yours while it is flipped out and also while it is in. just so i can see how it looks.
