Default Dash Lighting

I bought a 97 DI last week and was replacing some of the burnt out dash lights. I can not figure out how to get the center trim out to change the bulbs behing the manual climate control unit. Anyone know how to get it out?

It's easy. you have to remove the stereo to get to the screws behind there, remove the clock, remove the pocket above the ashtray and the ashtray, remove the switch panel for the cruise and fog lights.. Once all that is removed you will have access to all the screws that hold the center trim piece in. Ok, easy isn't really the right word but it's not that difficult. I have to do the same thing as soon as I remember where I put the removal keys for my aftermarket radio,

i think it's only 1 bulb... the ***** should pop off and then should reveal screws

i'll get a diagram by tommorow afternoon, but it's in the rave manual if you have one

I was thinking of the switches for recirculation and a/c. Sorry about that. Tom is correct, pop all 3 round ***** and the **** on the fan speed switch. behind 2 of the round ***** are screws that hold the climate control panel on. Remove those and the front panel comes right off exposing the single bulb for the climate control. The switches for recirc and a/c have to be disconnected from the back before they can be pulled out and the bulbs replaced.

Thanks, that was easy. The ***** pop right off. I wasn't sure they did and didn't want to chance breaking any of the plastic as it gets brittle after 11 years in this Texas heat. I had the clock out this weekend changing that bulb aling with the shifter lights in the console.
