Default Wondering if it might be possible to change dash lighting to red

Having owned a number of BMWs in the past, I'm a fan of red dash panel instrument back lighting,....I was looking at my dash tonight and wondering if it might be possible to change the illumination color to red?

sure.
Do it like airplanes do it.
Aka Piper, Cessna.

RED LED's shine onto the dash from the outside.

I cannot remember if the bulbs I put in my 2003 had green rubbers over them, or if they were just plain bulbs.... if the bulbs are green, I figure it would be easy to find some similar red bulbs.

EDIT: Looks like green bulbs:

The older Plymouth had lights above the dash and shined onto the dash like an airplane. That was really cool..

The little clear lamp bulb shown through green colored plastic and so the color looks the same usual green.

To fix a dash light you removed a bezel above the dash. It was so so cool.

Well all the lights for the switches are green ph1 LED's(1.7v I believe?), swapping all of them would be possible. As for the radio and ac system I have no clue. The main instrument cluster is white with green bulbs

Hi, you can replace with LED's bulbs in many colours including red, I believe they are size T5's, but check that out first. Also make sure they are dimmable otherwise they'll blind you at night.

I've changed my AC controller, clock and other components to ice blue LED's but not the binnacle instrument panel as yet.

Just a word of warning, genuine LR dash lamps cost an 'arm and leg' for what they are.

Like these but check them out for size and dimmable:
