Dash lights off when headlights on...sometimes

So... changed out the switch stalk. Guess what - dash lights just went out again So any ideas on what I should look at next?? Ground, Relay, ?? not sure.

Appreciate any assistance.

Replace the roller dimmer switch. If it’s messed up/corroded your dash lights will not work properly. You can try cleaning it first, but that should solve the problem.

Fiddle with it first and then remove and clean with some contact cleaner as Best4x4 suggested. I checked out the wiring print after reading this thread the other day. You may be able to jump the dimmer to confirm/eliminate it being the issue. If good at electrical and reading wiring diagrams you may want to take a look at the diagram for a way to jumper it while troubleshooting.

Okay, reviving this thread instead of making a new one. I've done all the suggested things but they haven't worked. Replaced the dimmer and everything as well. I'm finding that the interior lights just aren't turning on when it's cold. All summer they would work reliably but now that it's getting cold out, it's acting up again. I'm thinking maybe the relay for the dash lights is sticking when cold or something. Can anyone direct me to that relay and a replacement?
