DCM (Driver's Control Module)?
Hello all,
I am new to D2's having previously owned a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my off-roading.
I bought a 2003 Disco 2 TD5 with 140k on the clock and did around 700 miles over 2 months and then it refused to start. The alarm was going off and it wouldn't crank, almost like it wasn't reading the key. The EKA didn't work.
I sent it into a Land Rover specialist who said they thought the BCU wasn't working, so I ordered a used one and they've advised me they can now communicate with the BCU but they need to replace the DCM, this is exactly what they've said:
"A new DCM (Driver's Control Module) would be required as he feels that this has had water damage at some point causing it to not communicate with the new BCU."
However I can't find this DCM part anywhere on the internet, they have already advised me they cannot source the part, so I offered to source a used one for them but I can't find this specific part. I've asked them if there is a different name for it and they've told me no, this is what its called.
Can anyone help me on what this part is?
Thanks,
Ed
