Dead D2! Ignition? CPS? Starter?... Help, Please!
'03 D2. Ran fine until 4:12, today. No previous starting issues. Here are the symptoms: Tried to start the truck, it turned over slightly, then completely blacked-out. No lights. No power. Absolutely dark. If I disconnect the battery, I get power back ... until I try to start the truck and it goes back into darkness. Completely dead. No matter how much I try to jump-start or charge the D2, it makes no difference. Still dead.
Battery: The battery is fully charged. Just had it checked where I bought it. It also has the correct amount of cold cranking amps.
Alternator: New last summer. Probably not an issue seeing as the battery is fully charged.
Starter: Also replaced it, last summer. Could be bad, but it tries to spin (just prior to going into black-out), so its probably not bad.
Crank Position Sensor: I don't even know where it is, but from dealing with other cars I know it will lock-out everything if its gone bad.
Ignition: The key turns. No issues, there. Not sure where to go with that one.
Your turn. What/how can I test to further eliminate possible causes.

Make absolutely sure the battery leads are clean, and fully seated. It can look tight, but all sorts of crazy things will happen if the electrical system isn't getting the proper amount of power where it needs it.
Just drove back out to the parking lot where the D2 sits (9:00 PM). Checked and tightened everything, again. Took a chance and tried pushing the inertia switch. It clicked down. Still nothing. There is a fully charged battery, tightened down hard. No power. Tomorrow I will start checking power down-range from the battery.
