Default Dealer Replaced Battery

Hey guys,

My '03 rover (42K miles) wouldn't start yesterday. Starter tried but no juice. The dealer today replaced the battery. He said down here (San Antonio) that it's common to go thru a battery every 2-3 years due to temp extremes. But I forgot to get paperwork before I left. What do I need to ask for? Work order, etc? My factory warranty is up at the end of the month and I want some backup if it turns out to be the att. etc.

thanks

Get your paper work sent to you, simple enough, what brand battery did they install in your truck?

Replaced with an Interstate Mega-Tron II, MT-34. Any thoughts about it?

It's free and a fairly decent battery, why do you need more battery?

Ugly,
For what it's worth just got my wife's battery replaced here in Frisco @ the dealer @ no charge as her car's @ 46k (it's an '04). They replaced it with the same type. On the receipt there really wasn't anything else listed other than labor codes related to resetting the low voltage faults in the engine ECU.

We were shocked that there was no charge for the battery replacement, had to save us a few bucks for sure. Now if the tranny will blow, the head gaskets will start leaking, the differential will freeze up, and the ABS system will go haywire within the next 3k miles I'll be happy to have gotten everything I could've out of the warranty

Of course it'll all probably fail @ 51k....

Also FYI when I looked under the hood after their work (always like to do that, force of habit) they hadn't taken the little blisters off of the year and date so you might check yours & do the same so you'll have a nice visual reference to how soon it'll be before your battery goes out on you again
