Default Defender Suspension

I need to get extra lift on my Discovery, every time I go out with my chums in their Defenders I bottom out (they have sooo much more clearance), but (as we all know) the car is costing me a fortune in many other ways, thus I'm after an affordable way of getting the height.
Is it possible to put Defender 130inch or 110inch Springs and Shocks instead of Discovery standard Suspension?
I guess it is but the car probably becomes unstable - can anyone let me know of problems and risks?

Thanks
Tom

You can get up to a 3" lift using OME shocks and coils, you don't want to use the Defender coils because there is a difference of 1500 #'s between the truck. Go to
https://www.expeditionexchange.com/ome/ and read up on coils and then if you want to get a little better then aveage price, get back to me and I will line you up with one of my suppliers.
