Is it temp related?
Like does it do it when it is really cold inside the truck?
Or during the rainy season?
Or for no good reason at all that you can notice?

Thanks for the reply....it does it at all times, start-up in the morning after it's warm...I had the issue last summer as well so I do not think it is water related..

When this happens do all of your gauges work?
Like speedo, tach, water temp?

I have the same issue with my 2000 Disco. When I turn on the headlights though, I get no dash lights and my rear driving lights will not come on either until 3-5 minutes have passed. My issue...and yours, may be related to the headlight switch on the console. Try turning the lights on and off 3 or 4 times. That seems to get mine working. I suppose a new switch is in order at this point.

Wow....glad I posted this question....it happened again this morning and I jumped out to check if I had tails lights....I did not.....I have driven it a bunch of times at night and didn't realize this....I did switch the lights off and on 4 or 5 times and the all the lights came on...do you think it I need to replace the headlight stalk or could there be a relay issue somewhere......thanks again!...

First thing you need to do is check all of the bulb sockets for corrosion, clean them and use dielectric grease and then I would replace the bulbs, even though they are "good", $5 and you can KNOW they are good.

Let us know what you find, but I do not think it is in the switch, I think it is in the tail lights.
