I just bought some Denso Iridium Spark Plugs #IW16 and Magnecor 8mm Spark Plug Wires #80242 for my 2004 Disco tune-up. Is there any need to adjust the gap on the plugs? The Denso website states that there is mostly likely no need to do so. And if you feel the overwhelming need too then there is a process to follow that includes a pair of needle nose pliers. Anyway, has anybody installed them with the factory setting?

 

I would check the gap to make sure it's within the range your manual calls for but really I can't see any reason you should need to regap the plugs if they are the right ones for the Rover.

 

You can use Rovers gap guide lines to gap that pulg. Leave it along and see how it runs.
