Add a bottle of white shepherd and call it a day.

Does that really work? I have a leak on the front and I was planning on just pulling the case out and resealing it.

Start with a drain and refill use as directed on bottle usually one bottle its like 2.4 quarts to fill t case so fill back up with 2.4 quarts total and leave in until next scheduled fluid change.

On another recent post on this topic someone brought up a good point....some If not all of the bolt go right into the case so you have to rtv the head of the bolts...might be worth doing along with the white shepherd...going to have to give this a try myself.....same issue as you...always droplets on the x bar...

Just checked my T case on the 2001 D2.
Was worried it would run dry on a trip.
I had to add only about 1/2 of a quart bottle.

Previous owner looks to have had it filled or topped up
a year and a half ago.
So, I figure I can run with the leak for a year or so.

If I get into a house, I'll need to put cardboard under the Rover - as we did in the last house.

The T case on my Discovery 2 is the only thing that leaks.
Well, maybe I have an antifreeze leak too.
In Seattle, it just rains all week for weeks.
So, you can't really see what is leaking if you park the D2 outside.

Thanks for the tip on the White Shepard.

Yeah mine leaks too from the inspection plate. I put heavier weight in it and it seems to leak less. I was just planning to top it off at each oil change. Guess Ill throw some white Shepard next time I have it on the lift. Thanks
