Default DI T-Case Linkage...how much? Who's looking?

Gents,

How much would a DI linkage be worth on the "open market" and how difficult are they to remove?

I found 2 wrecked DI's near me and was wondering if it would make sense for me to pull the linkage and offer them up for sale. Since I have an '02, the linkage is useless to me, but I know there always seems to be folks looking for them.

I know this topic might be better suited for another section of the forum, but since the most likely buyers would be here, I thought I'd fire this question out to my fellow DII owners to see if anyone would possibly be interested.

Actually that linkage will bolt right up to your truck...if you have a early '02 because they still came with the CDL, just no linkage.

Ditto, CDL's were not installed after the mid to late 01 production.

Rob,

I'm interesting in doing this upgrade on my '99 DII. I don't know how hard they are to remove from the donor vehicles, but from what I've seen it looks like the parts guys are selling these for anywhere from $125 to $175 + s/h.

PM me if you decide to pull these linkages and put them up for sale.

Thanks,
Dave

Mine's an '02 but was manufactured in late '01 so maybe I should crawl under and actually check for compatibility before I go and completely dismiss the idea of doing this on my truck. Anyone know a VIN cutoff, or a actual production month when the T-Case got neutered?

Dave - Thanks for the response. I'll see if the junkyard would be willing to let me separate the linkage from the T-cases. They seem very particular about "keeping everything together" (they wouldn't sell me the LR emblems off the back doors since they weren't damaged.)

The transfer case serial number tells you if there is CDL or not, I just cannot remember what it was. By the time you have crawled under the truck to get the serial number you may as well stick your hand up there and feel for the CDL nipple... or lack of it.

i found it to be a major PITA. partly because the guy i bought the linkage from sent it incomplete... cost me $130 and it was a waste because i can't use it nor can i get the rest of the parts.... for now a screwdriver for the hi-lo and a 10mm wrench for the cdl will do.
