Default Did some wrenching last night

I took some time and did some upgrades to the Rover. I put a 2" TF lift on it and I can't believe the difference. I didn't realize just how sleepy my suspension was. It is also strange just how much of a difference 2" makes (that's what she said ). Now I need to put some new tires on her. The 265/70-16's are almost to small now.

Next week I am installing a rear view camera system that replaces my existing mirror. It is similar to what the new Caddy's have. I am also thinking about building a box that will replace the old subs with a shallow mount 10" sub. I found an amp that can run off the existing wiring so it should be a fairly simple installation and will still allow me to have use of the back jump seats.

For the price they really aren’t bad , for the cost of just a rear view camera , getting dash cam makes it worth it. It’s obviously not perfect because it’s not as good as a true dash cam but for how little I drive it I enjoy it, bunch of close calls caught on camera already

Can you share the link to your stereo head unit please? I am looking to replace mine with something similar. Thanks!

it is crazy cheap but works quite will. I liked that it was single DIN. Get the wire harness for our trucks and just use the RCA’s and installation is a breeze. I have the factory speakers and the sound is still WAY better then the stock unit. Plus it is possible to get the steering wheel controls to work without buying an extra part. All my controls work and they are programable. So now when I hit the "Mode" button I have Waze open up. I use the hotspot on my phone to give the unit internet and it connects automatically when It starts up.

I had a 10" sub installed on my back door in "03 SE7.

Allows for the rear two seats to be used and to access the inside of the door (which I needed to replace my spare tire carrier).

How did that make your Rover sound? I’m not looking to rattle windows, just balance out the sound at all volumes.

I had the whole system redone. That 10" Sub with 500watts (if I remember right) balances with the updated front and rear door speakers. I would guess an 8" sub in a decent box with an amp would be more than enough to fill out stock speakers
