Default Diff Lock Problem?

On my 03 disco I can't get my diff to lock. The gear shifter thing won't move to the left. Is there a trick to it or does something need lubed? Thanks

03 models do not have diff lock from the factory. That may be your problem.

02's and 03's don't. Do you see your diagram above your shifter, you only have high and low, probably have a manual from another year.

The 2003 manuals Actually talks about the difflock being an option. I think Nick (urban panzer), or p76rangie from LRO said it was an option overseas. Who knows.

IF you have it and you can't move it, get under the truck and spray some penetrating lube up around the linkage. Gently move it back and forth, trying to work it in. I take it you aren't in the states...

Is there a diagram on the shifter handle?

Just because the manual says its there does not mean that it actually is.
One manual covers all trim levels and options and such.
