Diff Lock stuck worked last month
I am really frustrated that my diff lock is stuck in Hi as I can't us my SLS system to raise and lower for trailer connect. (don't have sls fob)
Many threads talk about them being corroded or gunky. I have been using this multiple times a month both on and off trail sense purchase Sept. 2006.
What would cause it to seize abruptly?

I drive a 2001 SE7. I suppose my real issue is I don't know how to fix the stuck diff lock. Does anyone have a step by step list or even better pictures of what to do?
Once the low range is operational again the raising and lowering of the SLS's system will work again. The leveling of the SLS works wonderfully, which it should I bought and installed new air springs last year.

So, are you thinking your shift solenoid has failed on your t/case, will it not allow you to shift into low range, if so, you can either replace it or remove it complete and being a saftey device, you can get along without it.
Have you ever removed one before?

Mike I appreciate you setting me straight you seem to be the VOICE of repair on many sites that is a great civil service.
I am new in the Landy repair world and terminology is causing some confusion.
I do have a CDL but not hooked up to a lever. (have used to have prop shaft rebuilt)
So yes I am unable to shift from Hi to Low range.
No I have not removed a solenoid before. This is my first real 4x4. (prior was an 89 Toyota Vanwagon push button 4wd)
I am rather savvy with cars, though most of my wrenching was in rebuilding & maintaining two Classic Saab 900's and the Toyota Van.
So any advice would be helpful/needed.
Thanks
