Default Fog lights worked yesterday and now when I push switch nothing...

I just bought my 2003 lr disco se yesterday and today i hit the fog light switch and the indicator light on the switch does not come on, nor do the front fog lights. I checked the fuses and that does not seem to be the problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance everyone.

Try turning on the fog lights with your low beams on not the high beams. if it still doesn't work get back to me.

by low beams I assume you mean the regular headlights as in just rotating the **** on to turn on the head lights?

Low beams are your standard light where high beams are the bright ones. There is a relay that won't allow the fogs to come on when the high beams are on.

I went out and pushed the button with the lights off, with the low beams on, and with the high beams and nothing happened. I dont know if this makes any difference but when I push the switch for the fog lights that little orange indicator light does not come on either.

Then you are going to have to start checking fuses and relays.

Do i need to check all the fuses underneath the steering column and in the engine compartment? also I am not very automotively inclined.. How do I check the relays?

i have to bring this post back from the dead.
disco mike i sent you a PM

edit for additional info and recap:

i'm having the same issue as mentioned in the OP.
fuses/bulbs check out fine but still no illumination from front fogs.

normally the rear fogs can only be activated when the headlights are on or when the front fog lights areactivatedwith parking lights

situation is as follows:
parking lights are only on.
i attempt to activate front fogs, push switch once, get nothing, not even the "green" light.
i attempt to activate the rear and they activate.
eventhough the "green" light is not on and the front fogs aren'tactivated the rear fog light circuit is completed and they work.

any help would be great before i have to bring this into the dealership.
i'm hoping for a relay swap or something else that's simple.
cheers

My front fogs work with full (high beam), its a simple config option in the BCU. I believe the US has it like Mike said, but UK / Euro vehicles can have both on.

You guys in Europe get cooler stuff than we do, they have to tune everything down for the idiots that live here.
We cannot have the fog lights and the high beams on at the same time.
