Diff. Oil- what do u recommend

The brand is a personal.
The weight is not.
I had used 75w90 syn for years and had a few miles on my Disco 95,000 miles at the time.
I then went to 75w140 used the same brand and the transfer made much less noise.

Having your location might help with the decision. It is way different what weight to use in the north than the southwest for example. I don't want to have to change my gear lube twice a year.

I just changed mine on Sat, I went to Tractor Supply Company and bought a 2 gal jug of Traveller 85w-140 for $33 with tax.
You will want to have 7 quarts on hand as doing all three will take just a hair over 6 quarts.
I change mine once a year as I wade as often as I can.
If you use 85w-140 your truck will be whisper quiet.

whisper quiet, huh? well i was only using 75w90 as thats the LR recomended weight
might do that instead...

Spike I was hoping for a Redline report . but at that price ....4 bucks a qt compared to 20 for RP--- Mobil 1............. I Understand all to well............................... Im gonna need a better pump if I go that route thats for sure

throw some lucas in with the mix. my disco loves it in just about anything... dont forget those swivel pins too.... redline is good in the trans. frees up alot of binding makes everything nice and smooth

I'm running 75w90 Mobil 1 gear oil in my T-case and diffs.

redline shockproof heavy in the t-case and cheap dino in the diffs
