Default Diff. Oil- what do u recommend

I need to change out my diff. oil, i've heard that the royal purple syn. is a great oil to go with... just looking for any other feed back before i go out and purchase my oil.

I use RP everything and love it. They started carrying some of the RP products at Pep Boys, but I think I had to go to a speed shop to get the gear oil.

i just got a phone call from advance auto, the lady says its $18.00 per quart and i have to buy it by the case, 12 quarts... $216.00 plus %8 tax... OUCH

Try a NAPA store. The one by me sells it by the bottle. But they are still expensive.

royal purple isnt gonna be cheap... but from what i hear it is really good stuff...

If you off-road much and submerge your diffs, use dino gear oil and change it often.

NAPA has it in stock, and i wont have to buy by the case... so theres my best bet.
how many quarts does it take again? 7?

your transfer case? or your front and rear axle differentials? i'm not possitive about a d2 but on a d1 its a little under two quarts per axle and about 2.5 for the t-case... i think... i dont know i just fill them up till it runs out the fill plug...
