Default Differences Between Trim Levels

Hello Everyone,

I have a simple question.

What are the differences between the three, Disco II, trim levels (SD, SD7, and "Sport Utility 4D")? How will I be able to distinguish which one I own?

Thank you for your help.

The only difference between the SD and the SD7 or the SE from the SE7 is that the one with the '7' has the third row and seats 7.

a lot depend upon what years, I have seen SD that have a much lower level of trim, no wood, just rubber, lower grade audio, vinyl seat insteed of leather and usually will not have dual sunroofs, if any at all. The SE is a higher trim pachage than the SD and will usually have duaal roofs, leather, harman Kardon audio, and wood trim, of cousre anything ending in 7 meens 7 passenger.

The SD was always the lowest of all the trim packages. The SE was the top package in 1999 and 2001, and the LE was the middle trim level. I think the HSE came out 2002, knocking the SE to the middle trim level and got rid of the LE. The top trim level always had the air suspension and the better audio standard, but I think the audio and leather was still an option for the SD. It is a bit confusing.

The SD7s have the air suspension too. I have an SD7, no moonroofs, crappy audio (other than the stereo itself, which is Alpine, and the underseat CD changer) rubber/tweed interior and Duragrain leather. It also doesn't have the foglamps or body colored bumper. For what its worth, I like the lower line. The duragrain pleather looks and feels just like nice leather, and its pretty tough.

Not necessarily. I have an 01 SE with no air suspension and no ACE.

Thank you all for your helpful responses.

So it seems that I have the "SE" trim from 2000. My rover has the dual sunroofs, harmon/kardon audio, wood-grain interior, and leather seats. I've certainly spent a lot of money trying to keep it going.

If I were to sell this (maybe soon), how much would I be able to get out of it? It has 168,500 miles. I believe it most matches the kbb's "Fair" category, which lists it as "$3,200" with this mileage.

The fair category takes into account "may have engine leaks, and rough interior" among other criteria, but the interior is in good condition. It also has running boards, alloy wheels, auto climate control, and AM/FM with cassette player.

Repairs needed: Engine oil leak, Power Steering fluid leak (may need a new pump, from the mechanic who did the "pre-purchase" inspection). Minor dings on passenger side. (The "!" Hill descent light periodically comes on, and seldomly the ABS and TC lights come on with it (Three Amigos).)

Repairs done/replaced:
New water pump & gasket, coolant flushed and replaced: 10/2010
New Transmission: 11/2010
New Driveshaft: 11/2010
Check engine codes: P1170/1173. O2 sensors?
Brand new key fob, latch, and barrel (replaced by dealer): 11/2011.

I apologize if this looks like a classified ad, but I wanted to get an honest ball park range.

Thank you all.
