Default DII Brake Job

Hello everyone,

I have a DI that I have been maintaining myself. I have done the brakes and such on it.

I have a new friend that just bought a nice 2003 DII with 94K on it.

He stopped by and had new brake pads but nothing else. We took one rear wheel off and took a look, his pads are still good for now but will need replaced fairly soon, I told him I would find out more regarding what all is needed for pad replacement on the DII.

Does anyone have a good step by step on it they could share?

Also, in downloading the RAVE, are all the models included in the download? I have the RAVE for my DI, do I need a new download for 2003 DII?

Thanks in advance for all your helpful input. Rock on.

Interested in this as well...I know how to do "normal" brakes, but I suspect there are oddities to these vehicles. I'm getting some pretty good vibration with stiff braking so I suspect they'll get replaced soon.

Nothing to brake jobs on these. Soak stuff down with PB Blaster the night before (especially the screws holding on the rotors), do one side at a time so you can use the other side as a reference if needed, use caliper lube on the proper mounting surfaces, and put anti-seize on the hub/wheel mating surface so the wheels don't stick to the hubs (you will be thankful the next time you have to change a tire).
