Default DII Drive shaft

How long can you drive with the front driveshaft removed? I need to rebuild it but no time and need a extra truck this week for a few days. If its locked out it really shouldnt make a difference should it? Most likely being the pile it is ....it will no doubt..

Thanks Chris

The general consensus on here is that you can drive it no problem on the rear driveshaft alone as long as the CDL is locked. No fast/hard takeoff's and not above 70 is what everyone always says on here. Other than that you should be fine.

you should be ok. i wouldnt do any harsh accelerations and just don't go too long as it adds stress to the rear.

Let me add to my earlier post that I would check the rear driveshaft and make sure everything is kosher and that means no stress cracks in the rotoflex. Just my $0.02

man now these posts are annoying for two reasons; they have been asked a million times and they are in the wrong section.

It's ok, now the writeups are all in the DII section so D1 owners might miss them.
