Default DII Lug Nuts - Free to a Good Home

I was cleaning out my garage today and found a box of serviceable D2 lug nuts I scavenged off of boneyard trucks a few years ago. I'm happy to send them in sets of five for the cost of a USPS small flat rate box, which is today $7.50. I think I have four sets, although I did not count them this evening. PM me if you would like a set and we can sort out payment arrangements (most likely Zelle).

If you are interested in all 20, let me know that too, although I might charge a few bucks for myself if you want the entire lot. Thanks.

Thanks guys. In addition to Ben Matheson and Motörhead, another forum member has also asked for five. I'm happy that these are finding their way to the forum members who need them rather than taking up space in my garage!

All the lug nuts are spoken for, although I've not yet received payment for shipping costs from any of the members. If any of the lug nuts become available again after a week I'll post again and open up the offer to others.

NEWS FLASH!!! --- PRIORITY MAIL FLAT-RATE BOX BREAKS APART ENROUTE TO DESTINATION. TEN PASSENGERS ABOARD; NO SURVIVORS!!!

Well, that didn't work out.

Two of the three Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes reached their destinations with their passengers delivered safely, but the third one, with 10 lug nuts, apparently blew apart.

After 24 days, just the front of the box was returned to me with none of the lugnuts. The only good news is that inside the bag was an application for a refund of fees, so hopefully I'll get the $7.90 Priority Mail postage refunded. In any case I have refunded the money the forum member sent to cover postage.

Moral of the story - 5 lugnuts okay , 10 lugnuts , reinforce the flat-rate box with packing tape.

Oh Bummer! You had to hope the buyer believed that you shipped them too! lol. I got mine no problem, but I found out spare tire lug nuts are different than the wheel lug nuts!! I have 5 perfectly good lug nuts I just bought.....lol. I ended up removing the lug nut covers on two of my spare tire lug nuts, they still unthread fine with the lug wrench. Does anyone else know that they are different? I know why....now.

yes, the nuts for the spare are different. the threads go all the way through the internal hole because the studs are longer. on the regular wheel nuts the thread stops short so you're likely to tear your stud off if you tighten them on the spare studs.
the original ones have a convex dimple on the crown as a marker.
