I had a safari snorkel on one of my landcruisers. The issue I had was the long plastic body got leaves and pine needles behind it making it always wet behind it next to the body. I was sure that the engine ran better getting outside air rather than from under the hood..

I was wondering about that, as well as road salt getting behind there are just rotting out the fender.

Yeah but our Discoverys have aluminum front fenders so no rotting fenders there. Just light weight awesomeness. Doors and roof & rear gate are steel, saving weight on the fenders!
