Disco 2 Alarm Issue
Good day All,
This is my first post here and thank you for all the great info that everybody shares here.
I drive a 2001 D2 TD5 GS.
My issue is that when I lock my car with FOB all locks fine, but when I unlock the alarm goes off until I press the unlock button again to unlock all doors then the alarm stops.
If i lock the vehicle and unlock again within a short space of time, then all is well. If I stop for say 10 mins or more then when pressing the FOB unlock button once to only unlock the driver's door then the alarm sounds and then upon pressing it a second time it stops.
Any idea where to look for the issue.

Do you mean to say that after you press the unlock button and then open a door the alarm does off? And then when you press the unlock again the alarm silences? It does sound like a lazy actuator. If you unlock the truck "when cold" and a visual on the various lock pulls doesn't reveal anything, I would lock the truck and then wait long enough for the problem to manifest itself again, then try each door until you get to the one that doesn't open. That would be the problem actuator.

I may have more insights for your issue. This may or may not help.
In the USA the D2 did not have the EKA code option enabled. Because of this drivers in the USA can lock the door with the fob and unlock the door with the physical key with no issue. However, I enabled the EKA code in my USA D2 by changing the setting with a Nanocom. Now if I lock the door using the fob I must unlock it using the fob as well. If I lock the door with the fob then use the physical key to unlock the door the alarm will go off until I use the fob and lock or unlock the door and this will turn off the alarm.
I suspect you are in the UK since you have a diesel. We did not get diesel engines. The EKA code came enabled in the UK to help with vehicle theft. You mentioned only using the fob and the alarm went off but maybe this information can steer you in the right direction.
