Disco 2 Bucks and Stutters When Accelerating
Hi again! I am having an issue where my 01 disco 2 is bucking a bit and stuttering when I accelerate, mostly when I am going up hill. Changed plugs, filter, MAF cleaned all about 7 months ago. New oil, Tranny flter and fluid all about 2 months ago. Not sure what it is. The check engine light is on, and I am going to take it in to Advance or AZ and see what the code(s) might be, and report back. But in the mean time, I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue and what potential remedies there might be. I am going to put new wires in it soon too, but have not had time. I am half way through a new tank of gas and it has been doing fine until now. So, bad gas? Fouled plug maybe? Again, it seems to be mostly gentle acceleration going up a hill, but never at idle.
Any thoughts or help are ALWAYS appreciated. You guys are wonderful!

I am really only guessing without the trouble codes to work with but if I had to guess then I would probably say you are going to find misfire and/or lean codes. So since you already changed the plugs, and MAF then I would do the following next:
1) Get us the codes
2) buy new 8mm wires
3) Smoke test for Vacuum Leaks. I made a thread on "how to smoke test with a cigar" that might help out, just search for it.
4) Do a Fuel pressure test- You need to connect a fuel pressure gauge to the schrader valve on the back of the fuel rail. You should have around 52PSI if you pump is good.
"Fuel pressure is maintained at a constant 3.5 bar (52 lbf.in
a regulator that is integral with the fuel pump."
