Default Disco 2 ignition locked

The first time I took my land rover discovery 2 out somewhere I locked the door and accidentally set the alarm system off when I unlocked it. We had to tow it back and it’s now been a couple months of research and trying things to fix it. We can disable the alarm but we can seem to get the ignition unlocked. We’ve tried the 1515 thing but are not sure what to do after. Any help would be greatly appreciated

More details needed, does the ignition switch turn? Lock and unlock the truck 3 times with the fob or key, try that.

So there isn’t a lot of information here. If the key won’t turn at all it could be the steering lock is stuck. Wiggle your steering wheel right and left while you turn the key. Absolute worse case you could remove the black casing and pull the tumbler and see what is going on. If you can figure it out you could replace the key with a push button start. I did it to mine and it works great. We do not have a chip in our keys so it is a fairly simple conversion. A push button/remote start is only about $60 on Amazon and it is really easy to install.
