Disco 2 power steering stiff on idle

Default Disco 2 power steering stiff on idle

Hi there. Removed TD5 engine for repairs. Refitted the engine . now the power steering is very hard to turn on idle. Tried bleeding the system - clear pipe on steering box nipple - when i turn the steering one way then fluid runs through the tube - turning the other way then fluid barely drbbles - please help

is your pump whining or groaning? Might be a bad pump. First thing I would do is a flush if you havnt done so already before refilling with fresh fluid.

worked great for me however I still believe I have a leak somewhere, possibly in high pressure line. Mines still groaning at full locks.
