Disco 2 rear air suspension
My rear suspension is sitting down, and I tested the height sensors, which function fine. Sometimes the truck raises up, and then sits back down, and sometimes it raises up and stays up until I open the driver's door. I think that the air bleed valve (or whatever performs this function) is not shutting all the time. How would I go about repairing this, and if so how much would it cost (guesstimate based upon experience would be fine).
Hello,
the same thing happened to me, found out my air bags were leaking and the pump sometimes couldnt keep up.
I ordered 2 bags from arnott...me and a friend put them on..its really easier than i thought , a jack and 2 jack stands and about an hour(since we never worked on this before)...the problem stopped.
It was well worth the time invested.

Yeah, I thought it was the bags, however my commute to work is a 30 minute drive, and they stayed up for a good 2 hours afterwards. When they decide to not work......they won't even rise. It has to be the bleed valve. I was just out there, had the wheel off, and the height sensor disconnected from the rear arm, and it would rise and release on command, without leaking.....no leaks were detected with sprayed water while bag was fully inflated in extended height mode.
Its not the bags...it's the valve sticking open. I need to know how to source it or fix it.

You really need to find someone with a scanner that can check the SLS for codes and if none are found, have the shop reset the system.
If you still have problems, give me a shout.
By the way, don't push the height switch on the dash at this time or you will trip a fault for sure.
