Yes you can, the SLS is a common problem with DII's and one of the fixes is a coil convertion.
Here is a link as to what you will need, I know you cant order from these guys, but they list the parts needed so that you can pick them up locally.

Where are you located in Africa, are you near a large city where you may find a salvage yard. You can use the rear springs and seats / bolts / etc. off of any DII with the regular spring rear suspension. The lights will remain lit in your dash but the DII will be level.
Spike555, how different are therear springs on a DI when compared with a DII. Can they be retrofited and used temporarily.
Good luck.

It would be best if he could use DII springs
I do not know if the spring seats are the same size for the two trucks or not.

Before you go changing anything, have you checked "BOTH" fues for the SLS, # 28 which is a 10 amp fuse under the steering wheel and the is a 30 amp, I believe in the enghine compartment fuse block? Is your SLS warning light on?
After checking both fuses, and knowing they are good, disconnect the positive battery cable for about 15 seconds to see if it will clear the system.
Then if all else fails, look for some used coils and plates, you won't need to replace the shocks.
