Default Disco 2 small turning radius

I've had my 2003 D2 SE7 for two years now. I was resigned that these vehicles had a small turning radius - i.e., if I tried to make a U-turn at a traffic light where the opposite lane had only two lanes, good luck! I would often need to stop, back up, and complete the U-turn.

Until I borrowed another 2003 D2 from a friend and his seemed to have a wider turning radius than mine.
What could be the problem?
Thank you in advance

It's the one big fault I can always comment on. The D2 must have the worst turning circle I've ever experienced. My RRS is better and the Pajero is fantastic and a very tight turning radius. Why the D2 is so poor I cannot imagine.

guesses:
1] Easier to roll over at driving speeds if you turn too sharply?
2] Damage CV-joint with too much articulation?

Narrow stance= less room for tires to pivot before contact?

Where are the bump stops? Is this something I can do DIY or have to let mechanic perform?

Thanks

Just hop the curb or do a u turn in a safer location down the road. You wont adjust them enough to get a u turn on a two lane road.
