so my starter is no longer engaging the flywheel, bought a remanufactured starter and went to take off the old one....noticed its pretty much impossible to access the bolts (well the bottom one i can just barely get to but no room to turn the allen key) does anyone know of a guide, preferably with pictures, that explains the process of getting this thing out?

edit: also its a 99 if that makes a difference

 

So you cant turn the allen wrench? Get a allen socket set from Sears, then you can use your rachet and extensions if you need to.

 

I haven't had the pleasure of doing anything with my starter yet, but it sounds like you need an allen socket with plenty of extensions and swivel/u-joints. Either that or you need to remove something else first.
