Does any one the difference between the 99-02 and 03-04 torque converters. I have the tranny out of a 2000 model and just bought another disco. 04 with a hole in the transmission from a dropped front shaft. The 2000 model transmission does not have a converter and im wondering if the 04 converter will work.

 

I don't know about the torque converter but the transmission from a 2000 DII is shorter than what came in the '04. The transmission was beefed up in '03 and '05 to handle the higher horsepower of the 4.6 liter engine.
