The Disco has been totaled. Am I crazy to go for a P38?
Unfortunately my DII was totaled this weekend and I am in search of a new car.
After all of the maintenance issues with our DII Muses, am I nuts to go after a 2000 RR P38? Or would I be better of doing the smart thing by buying an Altima???
Here is the P38 that I am test driving this weekend.
Range Rover SUV 4x4 low miles
Can someone direct me to a thread(s) with the common RR issues and maint?
Thanks,
Nathan

You could always buy a 2004 D2 HSE, take out all the good parts from your totaled truck and throw them into your new truck.

In my mind, the P38 is a downgrade from the DII, even if it we problem-free. But the P38 is probably the only Land Rover that could contend for having more systemic issues than the DII. I like the Classic and the D1 far more, and apart from them and the Series, I doubt I would ever buy Land Rover. If you enjoy that kind of punishment and would consider a car, why not look at Jaguars?
