Anyone here knows where can I get information to repair a Disco I automatic gearbox? I need information about oil pressures, valves, torques, etc.

Thanks!!!

Have you built a tranny before and have all the tools?
I don't know where to tell you to look for the specs.

Mike:

Do you remembers the questions that I have posted here about my transfer that blows when shifting between R and D? Today morning, I wentto my mechanic's shop and he told me he is 100% sure that the transfer is ok. He says now that the problem is the transfer gear, that is shifting too hard between speeds. I've found that this is a typical problem with those automatic gearboxes (4HP22). My mechanic said that he has no documentation about the gearbox, and that's why I am looking for it.

This is a link that has some information about the problems the gearbox has:

Thanks for your answer...

I also suggested you drop one drive shaft, put the t/case in Hi Lock and try and see if the noise is still there. If you don't hear it, the noise is coming from lash in the t/case. Do this before you start tearing down the tranny.

I agree with Mike. While I don't have that much rotation in mine, it does slap into reverse. Going into drive is fine. If I wait just a second before going into reverse, It is ok, but if I go back and forth, it clunks. Check your RPM before putting it into reverse.

If it is slamming in both R and D, try changing your fluid and adding some Lucas treatment before you drop the tranny and take it apart.....also, when you drain the tranny, you only get about half the fluid out. If it gets better, drain it a couple more times...
