Disco I grill guard fit Disco II?
New to owning a Discovery II. I have a 2000 Disco II. I have found a brush guard that was on a 96 disco I. Does it fit the newer truck? It comes with mounting hardware. would that be different for the newer truck? Are they easy to put on (don't need welder or ??)

Yes it will fit, but wasn't made for it.
Most that are that old, from a D1 or pretty well rusted up and weak, offering little protection just some looks.
