I am trying to replace the driver side mirror(only) on a 2001 Discovery II. My wife backed into a low street sign. I have the replacement mirror and was about to snap it into place. I noticed that the mounting adaptor piece is broken on one side. I have just ordered one from Atlantic British($4.95), but I cannot easily figure out how to remove old mounting adaptor and install new one. Anyone ever done this before? I do not want to break anything else while trying to make this repair. Thanks everyone
