disco II starting problem/ camshaft sensor?
so truck just died on me at a light like the gas ran out? i could turn it over fine. fuel pump sounds like its kicking over. i could hear it. Took it to the shop and they ran the codes on it. They told me I needed a camshaft sensor? does this sound right to anyone. Want to charge $260.00 for replacement. Can i find this sensor affordably anywhere? Thanks for the help!!!!
I would be real careful when using that shop in the future, also if you ever go to have codes read, get the code number from them so you can check with us first and saving a lot of time and money.

Definately the crank case sensor. Its a cheap & easy fix, took me about an hour to do mine. Advanced Auto has the part for $30 something. Not sure if you have an Advanced Auto where your live.
