2003 RR was the body style change with the round tail lights and the shark fins on the front fenders.

Everyone wants that body style.

And due to this the PRICE is $15,000 and UP STILL on a 2003 RR.
Insane.

2003 Discovery - price $8,000 or so.
The RR is twice the price.

But, that said - the 2003 RR is closer looking to a NEW RR
than is a 2004 discovery to an LR4.

So, maybe the 2003 RR costs a lot for the "tricked you" factor that it is
closer to the new looking model than A DII is to an LR4.

The 38a is very capable off road, perhaps more so than the D2 if both are in stock trim. The RR turns tighter, but the D2 is smaller and lighter. the RR air suspension is a plus for lift when off road, but requires more maintenance. The D2 has more cargo capacity but looks like a school bus. The D2 will wipe out a large deer at 75 MPH for $4000.

Just my personal opinion but I still think a lifted/facelifted D2 looks better than an LR4. Way more character.

I too like the "Character". It says I could hunt Lions if I wanted to.
