Disco ll lift w/ 245/75-16
Anyone have pics of discoII withthe2"lift running 245/75-16 tires? Just trying to decide if I want to get these tires with the lift or If I should get the 265/75-16 tires. Truck will be used for moderate trails, road tripsand daily driver. I have researched, but most pics are with the 265's.
Also, I am putting 16's on that are originally from a 95 range rover. Will the lugs off my 18 hurricanes work for the range rover wheels on my 03 disco?
Thanks for any help.

First of all, you won't need a lift with 245 tires but would with the 265's.
One consideration to keep in mind is that you will loose power and about 1 1/2 MPG with the 265's, with about a 1/2MPG on the 245's.
As for the wheels, wheels from a P38 will fit on your d@ but I believ a 95 Rangie has the older, larger wheel pattern, may want to confirm that.

Thanks for the info, really appreciate everyones imput. I have learned a lot browsing this forum over the last few months.I think I will go with 245's BFG AT. Tried one of the wheels today, seemed to fit fine. Not sure if its a 95 or 96 range wheel. I have attached a picturethe ones I have and the only picture of this wheel I can find. I will post some pics Friday night after the install.

Do the math -
OE tire size = 255/65/R16
which equals 255mm wide x 65% of width =
165.75mm sidewall height x 2 sidewalls, (top of tire & bottom of tire)=
331.5 mm/25.4mm per inch = 13.1" of sidewalls overall
+ 16" for the wheel = 29.1" tall tire
New tire size = 245/75R16
which equals 245mm wide x 75% of width =
183.75mm sidewall height x 2 sidewalls, (top of tire & bottom of tire) =
367.5mm/25.4mm per inch = 14.5" of sidewalls overall
+ 16" for the wheel = 30.5" tall tire
Typically, if the change in overall diameter is within 5%, it's likely that there will be little to no discernable difference in the way the vehicle rides &/or drives. Here the difference is 4.8% so you should be good there. Also, this change effectively only raises the axle centerline while on the ground about 1/2-3/4" over OE so there should be no problem at all in running this size tires on your DII. They are a little taller so it will change the mpg about like what disco mike said.
If you want to know what the bolt pattern size is go here. LR OE dimension for a DII is 5x120mm (5x4.75+)

RE: Disco ll lift w/ 245/75-16
Got the wheels and tires on ,and they look good. One question though, should I be worried about these tires on 8 " rims. I did'nt think about it until I noticed theside walls arebulging sligtly, nut much but enough to notice. I cam also see the inner lip of the tire which does not look like it is seated flush against the rim. I looked at bfg site and they state thewheel width limit for these tires is 7.5" . I am assuming the tire shop would have warned me if this is not safe. This may be a stupid question, but I want to make sure its safe since while I am at work, my wife and daughter will be using the truck.
Before with 18" 255
After with 16" 245/75-16
